Last Friday, we did something we have wanted to do since we started this company: we teamed up with the San Diego Padres on a collection built entirely around the city we both call home. It was sold in exactly one place, inside Petco Park, on the night of the game, and once it was gone, it was gone.
A Stadium-Exclusive Collection Inspired by San Diego
The Huega House x Padres collection came together as a four piece drop: a cap, a t-shirt, a hoodie, and a varsity satin jacket. The colorway pulls from the Padres' 1990s Cooperstown era uniforms, so the orange and navy running through every piece has some real history behind it, layered with Huega House and Padres branding throughout.

We picked a Friday night home game for the launch for a reason. Our co-founders, Jake Ryan and Jonathan Ruley, got to walk out onto the field before first pitch and throw the ceremonial toss to open the game, something neither of us expected to be doing when we started this brand out of San Diego. Later that night, we ran our own pop up shop in Gallagher Square so fans could find us outside the stadium gates too.
"We've wanted to do something with the Padres since we started this brand. Getting to build a collection around their history, in the colors that meant so much to this city long before we did, made it feel like it was worth the wait."

The Varsity Satin Jacket and Athletic Association High Profile Hat
The jacket ended up being the piece people gravitated toward first. It is a varsity satin build, paired here with the San Diego Athletic Association cap, one of our most requested logos brought back for this drop.

Available Only at Petco Park
The rest of the drop sold inside the stadium at the Party in the Park pop up shop while supplies lasted. Whatever was left at the end of the night moved over to the Padres Team Store at Petco Park. It was never listed online, not by us and not by the Padres or MLB. If you wanted it, you had to be there.

"This collection is about two San Diego companies coming together for the city we both call home. Everything in it, from the colors to where you could actually buy it, was built to live at Petco Park."
Jonathan Ruley, Co-Founder, Huega House
Seeing it all laid out at the pop up shop, racks full and the stadium lights coming on outside, was the moment it felt real. This was never meant to be a collection you could scroll past online. It was built for one night, one stadium, and the people who showed up for it.

Thanks to everyone who came out to Petco Park to be part of this one with us. It is the first thing we have done with the Padres, and after Friday night, we do not expect it to be the last.
